Musician Post Malone's "famous" childhood home in Texas has hit the market for $549,000-over a decade after he traded the Lone Star State for California amid his stratospheric rise to stardom.

While the 30-year-old rapper and singer-whose real name is Austin Richard Post-has long since made a name for himself as one of the industry's most prominent stars, his origins as a youngster in Grapevine, Texas, are much more humble.

His charming childhood property is a world away from the lavish mansion in which Post now resides, having eschewed the dizzying allure of Los Angeles to snap up a newly built estate in Utah, yet it still offers an array of very elegant amenities.

The home, which was built in 1987, spans 1,685 square feet and comes with a two-car garage.

"Tastefully updated 1,685-square-foot single-family home in the heart of Grapevine, famously known as Post Malone's childhood home," the listing notes.

The musician's family purchased the property in 2006, when he was 10-and it was in the home that he first began exploring his love for music.

The dwelling has undergone several significant renovations since then, now serving as the epitome of the classic American abode.

From the outside, the home features white paneling, lush greenery, and a striking red door, complete with an American flag hanging in front of the garage.

Upon entering the home, guests are greeted with a chic dining area to their right, which boasts modern overhead lighting and a large window.

Moving into the living area, there is a sophisticated gray fireplace, dark wooden flooring, and a large window that allows natural light to flood in.

"This thoughtfully renovated residence offers an open-concept floor plan with excellent flow, abundant natural light, and a great use of space throughout.

"Recent upgrades include a beautifully updated primary bathroom, triple-pane energy-efficient windows, a new AC unit, and a new water heater, plus many additional improvements," the listing describes.

The home features an open floor plan, meaning that the lounging area spills into the kitchen, which was outfitted with white cabinetry, an island eating bar, subway tile backsplash, and state-of-the-art appliances.

Adjacent to the cuisine center is a breakfast nook with a round table.

The bedrooms are charming yet impressive, with enough room for a queen-sized bed, large windows, and carpeted flooring.

The bathrooms feature double marble vanities, a soaking tub, and a glass-enclosed shower.

Moving outside, the property boasts a dining table and a large pool.

"Step outside to a private backyard oasis featuring a sparkling pool and upgraded decking, perfect for entertaining or relaxing Texas-style," the listing notes.

The property is located in a highly desired school district-making it the perfect family home.

"Ideally located less than a one-mile walk to Grapevine's sought-after Main Street, offering endless dining, shopping, and access to the nearby recreation center. Zoned to highly acclaimed Grapevine-Colleyville ISD.

"This home blends modern comfort, prime location, and a one-of-a-kind story, an exceptional opportunity in one of North Texas most desirable communities," the listing notes.

The singer and rapper began playing the guitar when he was just 12 and living in this property. He often showcased his talents throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, traveling from location to location and displaying his skills.

While attending Grapevine High School, he quickly became known as "Most Likely to Be Famous," according to his classmates.

After graduating high school in 2013, he enrolled in Tarrant County College. However, he soon dropped out for a chance at stardom and moved to California.

By 2015, he had signed a recording deal with Republic Records.

But California would not prove to be the be-all and end-all for the rapper, who chose to lay down more permanent roots in Utah, just outside of Salt Lake City.

In 2019, he purchased a 7-acre property in the tony suburb of Cottonwood Heights for $3 million and later admitted that he was looking into outfitting the dwelling with an underground bunker, prompting many to dub the home his "apocalypse-proof mansion."

When Post bought the property, it featured 12,700 square feet of space, a pool, a wine cellar, a basketball court, and panoramic mountain views.
