Woolworths Group (ASX:WOW) said it is now 100% powered by renewable electricity across Australia and New Zealand, according to a Thursday statement.

This milestone is projected to deliver a reduction of over 74% in operational emissions, moving Woolworths closer towards its target of a 80% reduction by 2030, the statement said.

Woolworths said it sources more than two-thirds of its electricity requirements through partnerships and contracts across Australia and New Zealand through a mix of wind and solar, and its own network of more than 320 on-site solar power systems.
