** Shares of Dexus DXS.AX rise as much as 6.3% to A$6.71, set for best session since mid-August 2024

** Logs highest level since February 3

** Convenience retail asset manager reports a strong jump in half-year statutory net profit attributable to A$348.5 million ($246.84 million) from A$10.3 million last year

** Announces distribution of 19.3 AU cents, up from 19 AU cents a year ago

** Stock is down 4.2% YTD, including the session's moves
