Samudera Shipping Line (SGX:S56) increased its investment in its Japanese subsidiary, Samudera Japan K.K., by subscribing to 115,000 Samudera Japan shares for 230 million yen, according to a Friday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Shares of the shipping company were down nearly 1% in Monday trading.

Following the share subscription, the subsidiary's share capital has increased to 116 million yen.
