Iridium Communications (IRDM) said Tuesday it launched a new IoT module that integrates satellite, LTE-M cellular connectivity and GNSS positioning into a single platform.

The module is designed to reduce solution complexity, lower costs and accelerate time to market for dual-mode, large-scale IoT deployments, the company said.

Commercial availability of the module is expected to begin in June, with a development kit for testing satellite and cellular services, Iridium Communications said.
