First Watch Restaurant Group's chief financial officer, Mel Hope, plans to retire from the restaurant operator later this year.

First Watch on Tuesday said it has begun the process to identify a successor, adding that it will consider internal and external candidates.

The Bradenton, Fla., company said Hope, who has been chief financial officer since December 2019, will remain in his post until his successor is in place and will then serve as an adviser for a period of time to assist with the transition.
