Nouveau Monde Graphite (NMG) said Wednesday that it has acquired the Brownfield site and industrial facilities adjacent to its greenfield site in Becancour, Quebec.

Financial details related to the acquisition were not disclosed.

The 143,000 square meter Brownfield site includes a 22,000 square meter facility, large storing and logistics area, along with key industrial infrastructure connections, Nouveau Monde Graphite said.

The company will build a battery material plant at the Brownfield site that will refine graphite concentrate from the company's phase-2 Matawinie Mine into active anode material, under the company's agreement Panasonic Energy, Nouveau Monde Graphite said.
