A heavy slate of economic data will headline the first week of March, with fresh updates on manufacturing and labor. Investors will also weigh tech and retail earnings from the likes of Broadcom and Target. The week culminates in Friday's highly anticipated February jobs report.

Monday, March 2

-- Earnings: Norwegian Cruise Line

-- Economic data: The Institute for Supply Management will release February's manufacturing purchasing managers index.

-- Events: Apple's three-day event begins. The technology company is expected to unveil several new products throughout the week.

-- China: The People's Bank of China is reducing the risk reserve that banks are required to set aside on certain foreign-exchange contracts. The move, announced Friday, is set to take effect Monday and is viewed as a way for the central bank to combat a recent rally in the yuan.

-- Courts: The Justice Department's antitrust trial against Live Nation kicks off. The DOJ is seeking a full breakup of the Live Nation-Ticketmaster merger, alleging an illegal monopoly over the live-music industry.

Tuesday, March 3

-- Earnings: Target, Progressive, Crowdstrike, AutoZone, Best Buy

Wednesday, March 4

-- Earnings: Broadcom, Abercrombie & Fitch, Bath & Body Works, Okta

-- Economic data: ADP will release its national employment report for February. The Institute for Supply Management will release February's business-services report. The Fed's beige book, which gives a snapshot of regional economies, is also due.

-- Events: Major tech companies are expected to meet with President Trump at the White House to discuss data-center power costs.

Thursday, March 5

-- Earnings: Kroger, Costco Wholesale, Marvell Technology, Gap

-- Economic data: The Bureau of Labor Statistics is set to release preliminary productivity and costs data for the fourth quarter of 2025. Weekly initial jobless claims are also due.

Friday, March 6

-- Economic data: The BLS will release the U.S. employment report for February at 8:30 a.m. ET. The Census Bureau is due to release December's manufacturing and trade inventories and sales estimates, along with its advance monthly retail trade report for January.
