Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical (HKG:0338, SHA:600688) said it experienced an abnormal stock fluctuation over three consecutive trading days, but its operations are still normal, according to a Shanghai bourse filing on Wednesday.
Shares of the oil giant deviated by more than 20% cumulatively from Feb. 27 to March 3, Tuesday.
The company reassured investors that no significant announcements are forthcoming, despite the unusual stock activity.
The company's Shanghai shares fell less than 7%, while the Hong Kong shares dropped less than 6% during the afternoon trade.
