Delta Air Lines (DAL) said Thursday it has promoted Chief External Affairs Officer Peter Carter as company president.

The airline said it also appointed Chief Financial Officer Dan Janki as chief operating officer, succeeding its Chief of Operations John Laughter, who is retiring effective April 30.

Delta said that Chief Customer Experience Officer Erik Snell will become its new chief financial officer.
