Agenus (AGEN) said Tuesday it has received a $20 million milestone payment from Zydus Lifesciences as part of strategic deal to accelerate development of botensilimab and balstilimab to treat immune-resistant tumors.
The company said the payment was triggered by contracted work orders for critical chemistry, manufacturing and controls, and production activities related to botensilimab and balstilimab.
Under the agreement, Agenus could be entitled to as much as $50 million in milestone payments that could be triggered by botensilimab and balstilimab production orders, the company said.
Shares of Agenus were up 1.3% pre-bell.
