Financial stocks were falling pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) declining by 1.5%.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was 4.4% lower and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was up 4.7%.

Citigroup (C) said it has issued its first digitally native structured note on Euroclear's Digital Financial Market Infrastructure platform. Citigroup stock was down more than 2% premarket.
