Trump Ally Lindsey Graham Draws GOP Criticism -- WSJ

Calls from close Trump ally Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) to step up military pressure on Iran are drawing criticism from other Republicans in Congress. Graham said on Fox News that he wants Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations to "step forward and say 'this is my fight too,' " while noting "I'm going back to South Carolina and asking them to send their sons and daughters over to the Mideast."

That comment raised eyebrows among GOP colleagues. "What in the world would possess anyone to say this?" said Rep. Nancy Mace (R., S.C.) on X. "I do not want to send South Carolina's sons and daughters into war with Iran."

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R., Fla.) said on X that there are "some in the Senate that advocate for war everywhere. Lindsey Graham is one of them." She added: "NO BOOTS on the ground. If Senator Graham wants to go fight in a foreign conflict, let him be the first to volunteer."

Asked about Luna's comment, Graham said: "I got a bronze star. I'm not a combat soldier, and I've served my time, and I'm proud of what I do."
