Lumentum (LITE) said Tuesday that it will be included in the S&P 500 index.

The company said it will be added to the benchmark index before the market opens March 23. It also said it was previously part of the S&P MidCap 400 index.

Shares of Lumentum were up close to 4% pre-bell.
