Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR) expanded the Music Valley heavy rare earth project in California to 1,026 claims totaling 20,520 acres after the the Bureau of Land Management confirmed the lodgment of 969 claims and the receipt of the required fees, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
An airborne magnetics and radiometric survey at the project is around 65% complete, while geological mapping and rock chip sampling has also started, the filing said.
The company noted that 252 of the 969 claims are the subject of proceedings currently before the Federal Court of Australia.
Dateline Resources' shares jumped 11% in recent Wednesday trade.
