EcoGraf (ASX:EGR) entered into a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Taiwan-based Long Time Technology to collaborate on the development of EcoGraf's HFfree purification technology, and Long Time will also evaluate EcoGraf's natural graphite anode products for use in its ex-China battery facility supply chain, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The firms plan to start talks on offtake and investment to support the development of the HFfree purification facilities in South East Asia and Taiwan.
The collaboration also includes joint evaluation of material performance, comparative benchmarking against market alternatives, and agreeing on potential joint venture structures for the purification facilities.
Its shares fell 1% in recent trading on Monday.
