Santos (ASX:STO) and Beach Energy (ASX:BPT) are investing up to AU$12 million over five years in a program that will see rangers from five Traditional Owner groups in the Cooper Basin in South Australia and Queensland care for more than 130,000 square kilometers of land, according to separate company statements on Monday.
The program involves the Boonthamurra, Dieri, Kullilli, Wongkumara and Yandruwandha Yawarrawarrka groups.
Santos' shares rose past 1% in recent trading on Monday, while those of Beach Energy gained nearly 2%.
