--Dutch chip-packaging company BE Semiconductor Industries has received a number of takeover approaches and is working with investment bank Morgan Stanley to evaluate them, Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources.

--Reuters says that Lam Research and Applied Materials are among potential bidders for the company, known as BESI.

--BESI, Morgan Stanley and Applied Materials declined to comment to Reuters, while Lam Research didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
