Venture Global, Cheniere Energy Stock Lifted by Mideast Natural-Gas Crisis -- WSJ

By WSJ Staff

Shares in Venture Global rose more than 11% in premarket trading as investors bet the U.S. exporter of liquefied-natural gas could benefit from Middle East supply disruption.

The company, which exports LNG from the U.S. and sells on the spot market, is up more than 50% since the Iran war began.

Shares in larger rival Cheniere Energy, also an LNG exporter, gained nearly 3% premarket, having advanced around 13% since the start of the war. The conflict has severely impacted Middle Eastern countries' ability to produce and export natural gas.

Shares of other American energy companies also rose before the bell, with Chevron and Exxon Mobil edging higher.
