Crude oil loading volumes at the United Arab Emirates port of Fujairah have plummeted after Iranian drone attacks on its oil-storage tanks, according to oil platform Vortexa.

Vortexa said tanker loadings between Mar. 9 and March 15 were 66% lower than the 1.million barrels per day loaded on to vessels between March 2 and March 8. Strikes at Fujairah began over the weekend, hitting two of the eight storage tanks at the port and removing two million barrels per day of storage capacity, two port officials said.

Oil traders said U.A.E. oil refiner ADNOC wanted to raise tanker loadings at Fujairah by diverting oil supply from its other export terminals inside the Strait of Hormuz.
