Boss Energy Reports Updated Mineral Resource Estimates for South Australia Deposits; Shares Down 5%

Boss Energy (ASX:BOE) said the mineral resource estimate for the Gould's Dam deposit in South Australia totaled 38.7 million tonnes at 388 parts per million triuranium octoxide for 33.1 million pounds of contained metal, with 23% classified as indicated and 77% as inferred, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The company said total contained uranium at Gould's Dam increased by 8.1 million pounds, or 30%, while average grade declined by 122 parts per million, or 24%, compared with the 2016 estimate.

Boss Energy said the mineral resource estimate for Jason's Deposit also in South Australia totaled 13.3 million tonnes at 410 parts per million triuranium octoxide for 12 million pounds of uranium, with 41% indicated and 59% inferred.

Total contained uranium at Jason's increased by 1.3 million pounds, or 9%, while average grade declined by 380 parts per million, or 48%, from the 2017 estimate, the filing added.

State and federal approvals processes for both Gould's Dam and Jason's Deposit are targeted to start in the second half of the year, the company said.

The timeframe from application to mining lease approval is expected to take 18 to 24 months, followed by a further six to 12 months for environmental approvals, the company added.

The company's shares were past 5% in recent Thursday trade.
