Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI's pilot advertising business has topped $100 million in annual recurring revenue, several news outlets reported Thursday, citing a company spokesperson.
OpenAI, which introduced its pilot advertisement program in the United States six weeks ago, is planning to test it in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, according to reports.
The spokesperson said that while 85% of OpenAI's free and Go users in the United States are allowed to see advertisements, currently, only 20% of them see them daily, reports said.
OpenAI did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
