(Corrects the issue price of the preferential units in the third paragraph to SG$2.35)

CapitaLand Ascendas REIT (SGX:A17U) closed its placement exercise, raising around SG$903.5 million through a private placement and preferential offering, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Around 249.4 million private placement units will be issued at SG$2.406 per unit to raise SG$600 million.

Meanwhile, 129.1 million preferential units will be issued at SG$2.35 per unit to raise around SG$305.5 million.

Proceeds from the offerings will be used to partially fund various logistics and data center acquisitions across Singapore and Japan.

Trading of the private placement units is expected to commence on April 2, the filing added.
