Suncorp Group (ASX:SUN) said that Chief Executive Steve Johnston will step away from his duties temporarily to recover from a medical procedure, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

Chief Financial Officer Jeremy Robson will serve as acting CEO during this period, while Neil Wesley, currently executive general manager of strategy, corporate development, and investor relations, will take on the role of acting CFO, the filing added.
