West African Resources' (ASX:WAF) production guidance for the year is aligned with expectations despite higher costs, with margins remaining robust, Euroz Hartleys said in a Tuesday note.

The company anticipates gold production to reach between 430,000 and 490,000 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of less than $1,900 per ounce. Euroz Hartleys' previous forecast was 479,000 ounces at an AISC of $1,549 per ounce.

The company also released a 10-year outlook, in which production is expected to average about 533,000 ounces per year, with annual output production peaking in 2030 at 596,000 ounces.

The 10‐year production outlook enhances long-term visibility and boosts confidence in the sustainability of the production base, Euroz Hartleys said.

Euroz Hartleys reaffirmed its speculative buy recommendation on West African Resources, while its price target of AU$5.65 is under review.

West African Resources shares rose 5% in afternoon trade Tuesday.
