1119 ET - Air Canada's CEO succession process has been under way for two years, RBC's James McGarragle notes, which he says helps explain why Michael Rousseau's planned retirement isn't completely surprising. McGarragle says that the move reflects "the natural progression after Mr. Rousseau's leadership tenure," adding that Rousseau "provided critical stabilizing leadership through severe operational challenges including the 2007-08 financial crisis, Covid disruption, pension restructuring, and the Aeroplan acquisition."
