ESAB Names R. Brent Jones Finance Chief as Kevin Johnson Departs

ESAB Corp. has hired R. Brent Jones as the industrial compounder's new chief financial officer, effective in early May.

ESAB on Thursday said Kevin Johnson, its finance chief since May 2019, is leaving the North Bethesda, Md., company to pursue another opportunity at a privately held firm.

Jones joins ESAB from Avantor, a provider of products and services to the life-sciences and advanced-technology industries, where he has been executive vice president and chief financial officer since August 2023.

Avantor announced Jones's planned departure on Wednesday.
