Market Chatter: Indonesia Logistics Sector Warns of Supply Chain Disruption from Subsidized Fuel Controls

Indonesia's logistics sector has raised concerns over new controls on subsidized fuel purchases that took effect on April 1, warning of potential supply chain disruptions, Bisnis reported Thursday.

The Indonesian Logistics Association (ALI) said diesel and Pertalite are critical for goods distribution, so any restrictions could directly impact operations, especially in remote areas, the report said

ALI chairman Mahendra Rianto cautioned tighter controls could hinder goods movement and trigger price increases, though he welcomed the decision to keep fuel prices unchanged, the news outlet reported.
