Meeka Metals March Quarter Gold Production Impacted by Rainfall

Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) reported preliminary gold production of 6,083 ounces at the Murchison Gold Project in Western Australia in the March quarter, down from 9,174 ounces in the December 2025 quarter, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company said the results were impacted by "significant rainfall," which slowed open pit mining activities and postponed access to high-grade ore in the Turnberry Central and South pits, causing Meeka to rely more on processing lower-grade stockpiles.

Meanwhile, processing throughput improved to 123 kilotonnes, up 37% from the December 2025 quarter. Processing throughput in the June quarter is expected to be at a similar level, but is expected to rise in the September quarter with fresh ore from underground sources constituting a higher proportion of the process plant blend, per the filing.

The company's cash position increased to AU$50.1 million as of March 31 from AU$37.3 million at the close of 2025.

Meeka also said it is receiving regular diesel deliveries, and its suppliers are confident of sufficient fuel for the continuation of contracted services.
