Controladora Vuela Compania de Aviacion (VLRS), or Volaris, said Wednesday that its passenger demand, measured as revenue passenger miles, increased 1.9% from last year to 2.61 billion in March.
Capacity for the month, measured as available seat miles, grew 1.5% from a year earlier to 3.08 billion, Volaris said.
Consolidated load factor improved by 0.3 percentage point year-over-year to 84.7% in March, Volaris said, adding that it transported 2.7 million passengers in the month, versus 2.6 million for the same period last year.
Shares of Volaris were up 12% in Wednesday trading.
