Live Cattle Futures Hit Record High, Hogs Edge Up -- Market Talk

1558 ET - Live cattle futures rise 0.9% on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange to $248.45 a pound, passing the previous record reached in October as the market remains concerned about tight cattle and beef supply. Analysts note that workers at the JBS plant in Colorado plan to return to work Tuesday, ending a nearly three-week strike with negotiations to resume this week. Lean hogs edge up 0.2% at $90.55 a pound. (anthony.harrup@wsj.com)

Live cattle futures rose 0.9%, to $2.4845 a pound, and lean hogs edged up 0.2%, to 90.55 cents a pound, Monday on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
