Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) said Monday that total average daily volume, or ADV, in March rose 88% from a year earlier, while open interest increased 22%.

Total energy ADV climbed 57% year over year, with oil ADV up 85% the exchange operator said.

Intercontinental Exchange said financial ADV and interest rates ADV more than doubled, increasing 124% and 140% from a year earlier respectively.

Shares of Intercontinental Exchange were down more than 1% in premarket activity Monday.
