Israeli airstrikes killed 11 people and injured several others in southern Lebanon's Tyre district, according to Lebanese state-run National News Agency. Six were killed in the town of Maaroub, while five others died in Qana, further south.
NNA also reported that Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah targeted Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon. Hezbollah launched drones against Israeli soldiers in the town of Yaron, and two waves of rocket fire against Israeli army vehicles and soldiers in Al-Khayam, according to NNA.
The Israeli military said it had struck a rocket launcher in the Jouaiyya area of southern Lebanon, which it said was positioned and ready for launch toward Israel.
