Nexstar Media Group (NXST) has directed television stations in the US to use content from its NewsNation cable channel instead of news segments produced by national networks, Bloomberg News reported Friday, citing a regulatory document and sources familiar with the matter.
The company ended deals to share nationally reported segments between its stations and Comcast's (CMCSA) NBC network, the news outlet reported, citing two people familiar with the matter.
Nexstar will not renew similar agreements with other networks, Bloomberg reported, citing Chief Executive Perry Sook.
The company didn't immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
