0247 GMT - Far East Orchard's pivot towards an asset-light business model seems underappreciated by the market, say DBS Group Research's Geraldine Wong and Derek Tan in a note. The real-estate company could potentially sell around S$1.1 billion of non-core Singapore assets, they estimate, noting this should unlock value and provide funds for Far East to reinvest. The long-stay accommodation-focused company's move to scale its fee-based operating and fund management platform could enhance the company's earnings, the analysts add. DBS values Far East Orchard at S$2.00 a share, but doesn't have a rating or a confirmed target price on its shares, which are flat at S$1.21. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
