1610 ET - Netflix says it plans to roll out a redesigned mobile experience at the end of the month as part of its efforts to use technology for a more personalized, immersive and interactive user experience. The updated offering will include a vertical video discovery feed, the company says. A number of media giants have recently looked to expand into vertical video, a format popularized by social media platforms like TikTok. "This redesign will better reflect our expanding entertainment offering and make it easier for members to engage how and when they want," Netflix says. (kelly.cloonan@wsj.com)
