United Airlines $(UAL)$: The carrier said it's trimming capacity as jet-fuel prices soar, but that higher sales helped it offset additional fuel costs in the first quarter. Shares rose premarket, in line with other airline stocks.

ASM International (NL:ASM): Shares in the Dutch supplier of chipmaking tools jumped after its first-quarter sales beat expectations thanks to increased investments in artificial intelligence.

T-Mobile US $(TMUS)$, Deutsche Telekom (XE:DTE): The two companies are discussing combining to create a more streamlined telecom behemoth, The Wall Street Journal reported. Shares in Deutsche Telekom, already T-Mobile's largest shareholder, fell in Germany. T-Mobile stock was flat premarket.

Boeing $(BA)$, Tesla $(TSLA)$: Earnings from the jet maker are due before the bell, with Tesla reporting in the afternoon.

Contemporary Amperex Technology (CN: 300750): The Tesla supplier unveiled improvements to its fast-charging batteries that could bring down EV-charging times even more. CATL shares in Shenzhen slipped after logging big gains the day before.

TUI (XE:TUI1): The German travel operator cut its guidance, saying its customers are becoming more cautious because of the war and delaying booking until closer to their travel dates. Shares slipped.
