WW International Rises on Plans to Use $40 Million to Pay Down Debt

Shares of WW International gained after the health and wellness company said it plans to use $40 million in cash to prepay its debt.

The stock climbed 21%, to $11.21, midday Monday. The shares are still down 62% year to date.

The company said the prepayment would include $25 million to $30 million in aggregate principal amount of prepayment in cash of the annual cash sweep amount. It will also include a voluntary solicitation for prepayment by the company to use up to $10 million in cash to prepay its term loan at a discount.
