Gunfire broke out at the White House Correspondents' Dinner on Saturday, sending guests diving for cover just before President Trump was set to speak.

Around half an hour after shots were heard, White House Correspondents' Association President Weijia Jiang appeared on stage to tell the crowd that the event would resume. She announced that the event was canceled soon after.
Authorities have taken Allen into custody. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday and is facing multiple charges .
