1117 GMT - Bitcoin edges higher as U.S. stock futures point to a recovery in equities after falls overnight. The cryptocurrency is also helped by White House digital asset adviser Patrick Witt saying the Trump administration plans to share a big announcement about the strategic bitcoin reserve. However, bitcoin's gains are limited as the U.S. and Iran appear no closer to a peace deal. Investors are encouraged by bitcoin's recent subdued volatility given ongoing geopolitical uncertainty, Trade Nation's David Morrison says in a note. "The big question now is whether there will be a bigger pullback, or if bitcoin can build enough energy to break and hold above $80,000." Bitcoin rises 1.6% to $77,639, LSEG data show.
