Shares of Entrada Therapeutics fell after it reported results from Cohort 1 in a Duchenne muscular dystrophy study with ENTR-601-44.

The stock declined 57.6%, to $6.80, in midday Thursday trading. Shares are down 32% year to date. On Wednesday, the stock touched a 52-week high of $16.45.

The company said there was "statistically significant and potentially differentiated improvement in treated participants versus placebo in Time to Rise velocity."

Oppenheimer analysts in April discussed the importance of Entrada's data readout, including dystrophin levels. In February, Entrada said it expected its Cohort 1 data at 6 mg/kg to show double-digit dystrophin production when it disclosed the data in the second quarter.

Entrada said Thursday that Cohort 1 demonstrated an increase of 2.36% in dystrophin over a baseline of 4% and an increase of 2.31% in exon skipping over a baseline of 2.66% in treated participants. The results demonstrated a favorable safety and tolerability profile with no reported serious adverse events.

Shares of Entrada Therapeutics fell after it reported results from Cohort 1 in a Duchenne muscular dystrophy study with ENTR-601-44.

The stock slipped 57%, to $6.85, during Thursday's trading session and is down about 0.9% after hours. As of the market close, the stock has fallen about 33% year to date. On Wednesday, it touched a 52-week high of $16.45.

The company said there was "statistically significant and potentially differentiated improvement in treated participants versus placebo in Time to Rise velocity."

An Oppenheimer note in April discussed the importance of Entrada's data readout, including dystrophin levels.

Cantor Fitzgerald said Thursday said that after the mixed results, the thesis is "intact but materially narrowed." It said "The miss on dystrophin is disappointing and the market's reaction is emotional, but understandable."

"We are not altering our Overweight rating or valuation framework at this time, but the Cohort 2 year-end data are now considerably more consequential than we had previously framed them," Cantor said.
