CapitaLand Investment Seems Cautiously Optimistic, But Flags Near-Term Headwinds -- Market Talk

0503 GMT - CapitaLand Investment seems cautiously optimistic for the rest of 2026, but flags near-term headwinds, UOB Kay Hian's Adrian Loh says in a research report. In an analysts' call, management stated that it targets double-digit fee revenue growth in 2026, the analyst notes. However, management also guided for single-digit operating earnings growth, with 2Q fund-raising a key risk as the S$4.9 billion raised in 2025 will be difficult to beat in a volatile market, the analyst says. Also, the real-estate manager's exposure to China remains a drag, with negative rental reversion pressure throughout its retail, office, logistics and industrial parks assets. The brokerage lowers the stock's target price to S$3.93 from S$4.05, but keeps its buy rating. Shares are unchanged at S$2.65. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
