Firefly Aerospace (FLY) said late Monday its subsidiary SciTec was awarded a contract by the Air Force Research Laboratory to support development of an advanced algorithm R&D and verification architecture focused on sensor system research and development.

Under the agreement, SciTec will implement deep learning and other advanced algorithms on small Size, Weight and Power processors to improve target detection, tracking and custody, the company said.
