0348 GMT - The upcoming Trump-Xi summit in Beijing could mark the beginning of a relatively stable, transactional phase in the world's most important bilateral relations, although structural competition and distrust will remain, Macquarie analysts write in a note. The meeting may prioritize the strengthening the trade truce framework signed in Busan, along with increased Chinese purchases of U.S. aircraft, agricultural and energy products, they say. Geopolitical issues will be discussed but with minimal breakthroughs expected, they add. Short-term sentiment towards Chinese equities and the yuan should be mildy positive, though the impact is likely limited due to a lack of deliverables, they say.
