PG&E (PCG) has proactively shut off power to about 4,700 customers across 15 counties in California as part of a safety program to reduce wildfire risk, the company said Sunday.

The shutoffs were prompted by forecasts for high temperatures, strong winds and dry vegetation conditions, PG&E said.
