Amazon.com (AMZN) and GoodRx (GDRX) are among the pharmacy discount providers integrated into the expanded TrumpRx.gov platform, which now includes pricing information for more than 600 generic medications, the White House said late Monday.
The expanded platform allows consumers to compare cash prices for commonly used generic drugs at local pharmacies and through delivery programs, including discounts offered by Amazon Pharmacy, GoodRx, and Cost Plus Drugs.
The move is intended to increase prescription drug price transparency and encourage competition among pharmacy discount providers by allowing patients to compare cash prices with insurance co-pays, the White House added.
