Hyliion (HYLN) said Tuesday that the USX-1 Defiant unmanned warship was chosen as the test vessel for the company's Karno power generation technology by the US Navy's Office of Naval Research and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

For the vessel's sea trials, Hylion will provide a drop-in 800-kilowatt power system consisting of four 200-kilowatt Karno cores in a keel cooled configuration, the company said.
