NervGen Pharma Shares Slide After Disclosing Public Offering

Dow Jones
05/22

By Connor Hart

Shares of NervGen Pharma slid after the company commenced an underwritten public offering of common shares and warrants.

The stock declined 17% to $3.06 in after-hours trading Thursday. Shares, which began trading on Nasdaq in January, had lost more than 14% of their value in the past three months through the regular session's close.

The company, which is developing neuroreparative therapeutics for spinal cord injuries, didn't detail the size of the offering. It said it intends to use proceeds from the sale to advance one of its in-development treatments through clinical studies, as well as for general corporate and working capital purposes.

Leerink Partners and TD Cowen are acting as joint bookrunning managers for the offering.
