Jacobs Solutions (J) signed a contract to provide environmental services for the proposed Oldbury nuclear development site in the UK, the company said Thursday.

Jacobs, alongside AtkinsRealis and Aecom (ACM), will conduct environmental and regulatory assessments to support future planning and permitting for the site.

The contract builds on existing site studies and will help assess Oldbury's suitability for future nuclear development as the UK expands lower-carbon energy capacity, Jacobs said.
