Booz Allen Hamilton Profit Rises as Cost-Cutting Offsets Revenue Declines

Booz Allen Hamilton reported higher fiscal fourth-quarter profit as its cost-cutting initiatives helped to offset declines in revenue.

The company posted net income of $205 million, or $1.68 a share, compared with $193 million, or $1.52 a share, the year prior.

Adjusted earnings were $1.78 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet expected $1.34 a share.

Revenue fell 6.4% to $2.78 billion. Wall Street expected $2.87 billion.

The company guided for current fiscal-year revenue of $11.2 billion to $11.7 billion and adjusted earnings of $6 to $6.35 a share. Analysts see current fiscal-year revenue of $11.46 billion and adjusted earnings of $6.21 a share.
